Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Bracken Barns Therapy. These Terms & Conditions outline what you can expect from us and what we ask of you as a client. By booking an appointment, you agree to the terms set out below.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The most current version will always be available at the time of booking.
2. Bookings & Appointments
Bookings are auto-confirmed upon submission. However, we reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking that does not meet our policies or requirements.
Certain services require a consultation form and/or health questionnaire to be completed before your appointment. If these are not completed in advance, we may not be able to carry out your treatment and the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Where a patch test is required for your treatment, this must be carried out at least 48 hours before your appointment. If a patch test has not been completed, we will be unable to proceed with the service.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend your appointment without any notice (a 'no-show'), may result in a charge of up to the full service fee being applied to your next booking.
We understand that illness can be unexpected. If you wake up unwell on the day of your appointment and contact us on the morning, we will do our best to reschedule. However, if we are not notified in time, a half fee will be added to your next appointment.
4. Payment
Payment is due at the end of your appointment. We accept cash and card payments.
Payment at the time of your appointment is non-negotiable. Please ensure you are prepared to pay in full upon completion of your treatment.
5. Refund Policy
If you are unhappy with a completed service, please let us know as soon as possible so we can discuss your concerns.
Where applicable, refunds will be processed via card payment or cash by arrangement.
6. Health, Safety & Client Responsibilities
All clients are required to complete a health questionnaire before their first appointment. Please check all contraindications to treatment listed on the questionnaire carefully and answer honestly.
Please do not attend your appointment if you are unwell. This includes but is not limited to: colds, coughs, fevers, sunburn, or rashes. This is to protect both your health and ours.
We ask that all clients shower before their appointment as a courtesy.
Respectful behaviour is expected at all times. We reserve the right to end any appointment early and refuse future bookings if a client behaves in a disrespectful, aggressive, or inappropriate manner.
If, during a consultation or treatment, we identify any reason why it may not be safe or appropriate to proceed, we reserve the right to refuse or modify the service. Your safety is always our priority.
7. Consultation & Patch Tests
Some treatments require a consultation form to be completed prior to your appointment. This helps us understand your needs and ensure treatments are safe and suitable for you.
Where a patch test is required, it is your responsibility to attend for the test within the required timeframe before your appointment. We cannot carry out a treatment if a required patch test has not been completed.
8. Your Privacy & Data
We take your privacy seriously. All personal information and health data you provide is stored and processed in accordance with UK GDPR regulations.
Your data will only be used for the purpose of providing you with treatments and managing your bookings. We will never share your personal information with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.
9. Liability
While we take every care to provide safe, professional treatments, Bracken Barns Therapy cannot be held liable for any adverse reactions or outcomes where accurate health information has not been disclosed by the client.
By booking an appointment, you confirm that all information provided in your health questionnaire and consultation forms is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
